“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.
Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice.
And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
– Steve Jobs
“…Almost everything:
all external expectations,
all pride…all fear of embarrassment or failure.
These tings just fall away in the face of death,
leaving only what is truly important…
Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.
You are already naked.
There is no reason not to follow your heart.” –
Steve Jobs, Stanford, 2005
“The best things in life are FREE.
The second best are very expensive.”
– Coco Chanel
“Don’t Take Anything Personally.
Nothing others do is because of you.
What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.
When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.”
– Don Miguel Ruiz
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.
And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”
– Steve Jobs
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.”
– Mark Twain
“Freedom means you are unobstructed in living your life as you choose.
Anything less is a form of slavery.”
– Wayne Dyer
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
– Carl Jung
“Happiness doesn’t depend on any external conditions, it is governed by our mental attitude.”
– Dale Carnegie
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
– Marianne Williamson

That Coco Chanel quote is fun, but the quote I really liked was the last one. I love how it talks about being a child of God and how it inspires you to ‘be all you can be’ and to set your goals high. It always surprises me how much words can really influence a person.
Such an irony in the quote from Wayne Dyer. Most people don’t even know they can’t live their life as they please. Very inspirational.
Some great collection of quotes! My favorites are of Mark Twain and Coco Chanel!
What a great collection of quotes.
This is such a beautiful post. Thank you for sharing these!
Some of the quotes are so profound and deeply meaningful that when I read them, it makes me want to meet the people who said them.
These are beautiful – thank you for sharing them. It is crazy how powerful these quotes can be but I now feel inspired.
The quote from Dale Carnegie is one of my favorites as well. Mind over matter! It is such an important concept.
I’m so glad I re-read this post. I think I may have made unconscious conscious and that made my life better in so many ways. I have aim, I have a destination and I feel in control. I might come back for another re-read later, this never gets old 🙂
I love good quotes! There’s a thin line between free and expenpensive – I so agree with Coco 🙂
I love your collection of quotes, very meaningful.
Steve Jobs does have a lot of inspiring quotes that we can use as motivation to move towards our goals. Thanks for sharing all of these lovely quotes!
Awesome quotes Marzena. I completely agree on quote by Dale Carnegie. Am the reason for me to be happy or upset about something, its how we take things.
I find quotes very important to keep me inspired and motivated. I love anything by Carl Jung and Wayne Dyer, but Steve Jobs was also filled with wisdom. Thanks for this, Blessings!
Love these meaningful quotes. My favorite quote is ” Dream until your dreams come true ” ♥
Wow, great collection of quotes! The one about not wanting to look back 20 years from now and think about what you didn’t do resonates with me. I’m 29 and just moved to Spain to teach English. While many of my peers are in grad school, I came to Spain because I knew that if I didn’t, I’d look back and wonder what would have happened if I can made that leap to move overseas. And I’m so glad I did!

These are all such amazing and wise quotes! This one by Coco Chanel is my favorite ‘The best things in life are FREE.The second best are very expensive.’ You only live once, so enjoy every moment in your life and appreciate the little things!
My absolute favorite quote is from Audrey Hepburn. A part of it goes like this – I believe in being strong when everything seems to going wrong. I mean, Audrey, you really make stay strong!
These quotes are indeed life changing! They got me thinking..
