You can only imagine how happy I was to be able to spend some time on the beach, on Long Beach (California). When you live in a place where there isn’t so much sun and where you only have sun once a week, you feel the difference when you have an opportunity to fully enjoy it.
As I love the sun so much, I need a special care during sun exposure. Sunlight helps your body to produce vitamin D but it’s also crucial to avoid being unprotected during sun exposure. Drinking enough water and using a sunscreen is necessary before we go out in to the sun. We all know it but how many of us really do it?
I think if we want to fully enjoy the sun we need sun protection. Vitamin D is important, it’s also a hormone your body produces under the influence of light.
Some studies suggest that using sunscreen for the sun protection doesn’t interfere with your body’s ability to produce vitamin D, the others show that vitamin D can’t be produced. Who really knows the truth? As soon as we come to know one rule, somebody will come up with another exceptions.
We all need sun exposure but we also need to be cautious.
