When you walk down streets of any big city’s Downtown for the first time, you may experience the feelings of emptiness and powerless. You know that you should be overwhelmed with happiness because you’ve dreamed about visiting this place since your childhood.
We planned to visit different places and hotels, such as: DTLA, Hollywood, Long Beach and San Francisco.
Our first hotel was in Fashion District, which is located in LA Downtown.
I wasn’t aware that it would be so strange feeling to live in the hotel surrounded by homeless people. It was very sad feeling because I’m compassionate person. It reminded me a great song “Big City Life” by Mattafix. I used to listen it over and over again.
After some time, I figured out that was my purpose to stay in this hotel. It helped me to realize how diverse city of LA is.
Today, I’m sharing with you photos from DTLA and I’m starting working on my next post!
Have a nice new week! :-*

Such cool pictures! I love how unique the Disney concert hall is. Stunning!
The last couple times I visited LA, I stayed downtown. Really enjoyed it!
I love L.A! If I could find a good job in education that would definitely be the move!
I look forward to your post if you ever get to visit San Francisco! I’ve always wanted to visit!
There are definitely two sides to the big city, the ideal and the reality, and I’m glad you pointed that out. BEautiful pictures!
I am a SoCal native and used to be an LA girl before I had kids. I completely agree with the 2 sides and I love your cute outfit.
Love your outfit its very classic. Also the bag candy is to die for. Really lovely bag. Great photographs.
Entering big cities can be a revelation. There’s always a darker, truer side to the pretty, overly hyped side we’re shown again and again.
Your outfit is very cool and chic. I have always wondered about downtown and your post gives me a great perspective to it. Thanks.
I really like your bag, it gives your outfit a bit of color and works perfectly. LA looks pretty awesome, I hope you will continue having fun and enjoying your America trip.
Your right, walking the big city streets can often be overwhelming and make you feel alone even though there are so many people around you! Love the shoes.
Wow! I love your sunglasses, they look SO cool! I believe doing anything alone for a long time can get boring. Last week when I was at Marks & Spencer, I met a lady who was living alone and she was extremely desperate to talk to someone so I just gave her 10 minutes of my time and she felt so good. I really enjoy your posts, you style everything so well!

downtown LA is very diverse and we do have really bad homeless problem right now with entire tent villages cropping up all over. I do hope that you were able to enjoy your visit though!
I love LA and I enjoyed a lot my trip. You can also check my next posts from my trip to America, which will be published this week! Thanks for feedback!
I love your outfit and the photographs in the city. I understand your feeling about the homeless 🙁 Definitely the bad side of the city.
LA is my hometown so I can definitely see what you mentioned about being in these high end hotels and see so many homeless people. LA has been trying to help but this is a big problem so lets see.
Have you been to LACMA that’s a cool place and of course so many super cool beaches.
Check out some of my blog posts on local LA – http://usa.iamvagabond.com/2012/05/los-angeles_13.html
This is a really cute outfit. L.A. is a really fun city to explore. It’s great that you were able to visit!
Love your outfit! I hope you really enjoy LA, it is a beautiful city with some great things to do.
Yet somewhere else I want to visit. Love your shades, mine have just broken so need to get some new ones.
Yes so true! I felt that emptiness and powerless too! But man it was so great!
One day i will visit downtown LA. I like the bluebag. xx
