Hi guys!
These shorts are one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe for summer days. I have a great selection of casual black pieces – as you know it for sure.
As you can see in photos, I kept the look simple: I paired the shorts with a t-shirt and flip-flops. I am a big fan of comfortable clothing.
Additionally, I wore my beautiful new jewelry by Mango to add a touch of elegance to my outfit.

I completed my look by adding a pair of vintage sunglasses. As you can see, these great pair of sunglasses I can wear over and over again and they always look chic. I love these sunglasses and to be honest I’m wearing them almost every day. I will probably continue to wear them into the fall and winter.
After searching many weeks for more sunlight which create vitamin D, I realize how much I appreciate the sun (more about vitamin D here).
I’m feeling so grateful and happy when the sun is shining.

– The light is a life –
It can seem like a philosophical opinion but for me it’s true.
I wasn’t aware of it before I moved to another country. It came to me from my personal struggles and everyday challenges.
Not everyday, the sun is shining.
It’s similar when you look around. Very often, the place where we live, doesn’t look like a dreamy place.
I waited a half year to be able to wear this outfit where I’m living.
Moreover, it’s not only a weather which challenges me everyday.

When you live abroad (Germany or any other place), you need to know, that for you, as a person, who wasn’t born here, life will be a little more challenging as you think.
For instance, Germany might look like a dreamy place for many people. But, it may not be true, when you dream about financial freedom. Sorry, but I sometimes tend to be very honest.
I don’t think I’m ready to share with you guys today how many challenges and not only positive experiences came across my way living here.

I’m convinced that my love to fashion was one one of those things which kept me going through the difficult times.
Do you guys have some experiences with living abroad?
Did your parents decide to live in another country?
Leave me a comment, love hearing from you!
Until next time,
xoxo

We currently live in Spain :-). Love the outfit and those vintage sunglasses are very nice on you, as it the whole outfit.
I’m a little jealous about your weather! 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by!
I’m kind of a sporty type gal and a little while ago I went for an Image Consultation. I failed dismally when it came to accessories, so I love your attention to the smaller details. P.S. I would be interested to hear some of those challenges you mentioned, just saying!
I loved the outfit. Its so nice, and Black is my favourite colour. My entire wardrobe has everything in shades of black and white.
Aw sorry to hear about the difficult times you have been going through, its true sometimes we see things through rose tinted glasses and do not realize what its reality is like.
How are you Ana? I hope you’re feeling better today! Have a nice evening! Greetings from Germany! :-*
Love your outfit! The black is so chic! I also love your accessories. 🙂
A quite stunning article. Thank you.
I left Portugal 4 years ago, never looked back.I am here in the UK on my own (so I know how it feels like missing the sun), my family and parents are still in Portugal. You are right, there are so many challenges, and there had been so many difficult times. So many times I thought I wouldn’t be able to achieve anything, but little by little I ended up achieving so much. So despite the difficult times, just keep believing in yourself because better times will come and the sun will shine again (maybe not literally 🙂
Yes. Started living abroad last year and this Ocober, I am about to move to another country – to Germany. Maybe we can see each other. Lol. First months were exciting yet full of adjusments. I am still visualising my dreamy place where I can use as my home base. I do love the vintage glasses by the way.
Black it is! Looks great! I also like to wear shorts when ever possible. Btw, I have lived abroad half of my life.
I have friends who moved to another country to immigrate or just work. While they look cool and successful in the eyes of some who wants to follow suit, the discrimination and the challenges they go thru is not worth it, IMO.

love the outfit and the accesories in this post. Black can never be wrong!
A casual look but I love how it looks all together. Shorts are great for the summer.
